Selling your home, where to begin?
First impressions: The best to present your home for sale, is to look at it from a buyer’s perspective.
Clean and attractive property brings attention, stands out from the competition.
The way the house looks from the inside and the outside and the way it smells.
No Showings on Garbage Collection Day, the area’s first impression won’t look good.
Simple improvements grab buyer’s attention.
What to fix: Make a checklist of things that need to be done.  If you are a buyer walking through the property, what would you like and what would you dislike.
Cleaning time: Buyer’s like spotless house, inside and out, start with your windows, window sills, walls and floors, tile, cupboards, drawers, kitchen, bathrooms, scuff marks on doors and entryways, clean light fixtures and the fireplace. Don’t forget the laundry room and don’t leave dirty dishes in the dishwasher.
Salvation Army and diabetes program: Collect your unused stuff and with it to the Salvation Army. People cluttered houses. Remember, Buyers are buying your house, not your furniture, so help them picture themselves and their possessions in your home.  
Pack all pics, books and most of the stuff that makes the house looks your. You have to make it look it’s the buyer’s home.
Rearrange your garage to look very organized. All packed boxes in the middle.
Closets: By storing clothing you haven’t used for few month, may couple years will help make closets look more spacious.
Floors: Check the carpet condition. Does it need to be replaced, cleaned, or is it going to put the sale on hold.  
Leaks and Moisture: Water stains on ceilings or in the basement alert buyers to potential problems. Don’t try to cover up stains caused by leaks. Fix, repair, and disclose.
Curb Appeal:
What needs improving, trimming trees, planting shrubs, or painting gutters? Little things show that you’ve cared for your property and it send the right message to the serious.
Front and backyards
Enhancing your yard and landscaping. If your house looks inviting and well-maintained from the street, people will imagine that it’s attractive on the inside, too.

  • Pet’s area, cleaned
  • Driveway and sidewalks shoveled, de-iced, and well-lit.
