Preparing your home for the showing
It is the Real Estate Agent’s job to sell your home; however, there are a few things that the agent will ask of you to help him/her do just that. Walk through your home, with the list below, and check that everything is tidy and in good shape. If you find any problems that you can't address yourself, let the agent know, and he/she will his/her best to help you take care of it.
Exterior

  • Eaves troughs, down spouts in good shape
  • Garage clean and organized
  • Litter picked up
  • Cracked window panes replaced
  • Lawns and hedges cut and trimmed
  • Garden weeded and edged
  • Walks and driveways cleaned
  • Shoe tray inside front door
  • Doorbell and door hardware in good repair
  • Mailbox in good repair
  • Porch and foyer clean and tidy

  • Paint touched-up

  • Seals around tubs in good repair

  • Counter-tops free of clutter
  • All lights turned on
  • A/C on in warm weather
  • Fresh air in house
  • Fireplace lit in cold weather
